Tate Britain
Print / Product

We have worked on a number of projects with the Education department at Tate Britain.

The art trolley we designed houses activity sheets and art materials for children to use to make responses to the art collection. Each side is given over to a single activity – the worksheet is displayed/dispensed from a vertical tray and related materials are held in recessed compartments. The trolleys are made from birch plywood with a Formica laminate – one in blue and one in orange – and each is accompanied by a bin to hold larger items.

Secret Tate trail was launched at a London Openhouse event. It focuses on the architecture of the gallery and its relationship to the collection. Similar in format to a newspaper, the trail incorporates a number of activities for children; they can make rubbings, complete patterns found in floors and windows, and curate their own exhibition in a blank gallery space.

The sculpture kit was designed to coincide with the Anthony Caro exhibition. Children pop-out and slot the shapes together to construct their own abstract sculptures.
